UAB Master Poetry Workshop with Tina Mozelle Braziel

UAB Writers' Series/Master Poetry Workshop on the Cahaba River
When: October 20, 2019, 2:00 p.m.

Where: The Master Poetry Workshop is an outdoor event and will take place at the Cahaba River at end of the road just past 4005 Cahaba Beach Road.

Tina Mozelle Braziel, author of Known by Salt (Anhinga Press) and Rooted by Thirst(Porkbelly Press), has been awarded the Philip Levine Prize for Poetry, an Alabama State Council on the Arts fellowship, and an artist residency at Hot Springs National Park. She currently serves a Magic City Poetry Festival Eco Fellow with the Cahaba River Society. 

Her work has appeared in The Cincinnati Review, Southern Humanities Review, Tampa Review, and other journals. She directs the Ada Long Creative Writing Workshop for high school students at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She and her husband, novelist James Braziel, live and write in a glass cabin that they are building by hand on Hydrangea Ridge.
